SJPD Launches 54-Recruit Academy

On Friday, June 16, Mayor Liccardo joined Police Chief Eddie Garcia to announce the start of a new 54-person academy - the largest in a decade. With the start of this new academy, SJPD now has more than 100 new officers currently in the training process. Read more about the SJPD's latest academy class. Downtown Aerial  City of San José Commences Discussions with Google on Potential 6 Million Square Foot Development Project in Downtown San José

San Jose Mayor Liccardo announced today that the City of San Jose has commenced discussions with Google on the potential development of a mixed-use, transit-oriented office space that would transform the Diridon Station Area and Downtown San Jose. The potential development could include more than 6 million square feet of office/R&D space and accommodate between 15,000 and 20,000 jobs. Read more in the following press release
